I'll be in Madrid for a week in early July. I'm travelling on Tues 3rd and Tues 10th, and would be interested in meeting up with local or visiting women on one or two of the other nights that I'll be there. I'm staying in a hotel quite near the Prado Museum so anywhere central is good for me - suggestions welcome. I speak Spanish reasonably well, so don't let language put you off!

Just sending you the message I sent you by mail earlier...it seems you didn't get it??? (or messages passing?) Hello Maeve, I was convinced I'd sent you a reply by mail, but obviously this wasn't the case. Sorry for that. No problem to meet tomorrow, let's say maybe at 20:30 and why not meet at the wall garden in front of CaixaForum (on Paseo del Prado, at left hand side when coming from Atocha station; a former electricity central, now used as museum for the social foundation of La Caixa bank)...please let me know whether you know the place. And meanwhile, enjoy your day trip to Toledo...don't forget to taste the marzipan there! See you, Ilse

not feeling that well yesterday (and it being short notice), but next Monday is still free. If you feel like having some raciones,talking about your gallery visits etc, I'm in...best to send me a mail to onzilske@yahoo.es or sms to 667667049 to arrange meeting. I'll be probably taking the regional train into Sol (or Recoletos) station and going to 1-2 PhotoEspaña exhibitions before (Spanish afternoon).

Hi, Sorry about the delay in responding - I had a very busy few days before my departure. I'm on the plane to Madrid now! It would suit me to meet this Weds 4th or next Mon 9th, preferably for tapas in the evening as I'm planning gallery visits and day trips during the day-time. Does that suit anyone? I'm staying in a hotel that's very central.

I'm not sure whether you've seen my comment, but as you'll be travelling tomorrow, I send you another one, to tell you I'm most likely (as my husband might be that day out for work) to be free on Monday, 9th July as well. Please let me know whether you're still interested to meet with locals in Madrid.

Hello! I'm Ilse and I live near Madrid. I've also an Invite open (to combine one of the PhotoEspaña exhibitions with a tapeo= sharing some "raciones"; tapas for Spanish people are the free "snacks" offered with your drink!) If you want, we could meet, but I prefer to meet at (Spanish) lunch time. 4th July, I might be able to meet later as I'll be going to Madrid centre for a concert.
